1 Step is Fewer Than 3 (AND CHEAPER)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A study conducted by the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) provides insightful evidence of how effective design and planning can result in significant cost savings in construction projects. The DBIA compared the project costs of a Design\/ Build team (1 call) to the costs of a traditional design-bid-build model (3 calls).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The findings revealed that projects employing the Designer\/ Builder approach experienced cost savings ranging from 6% to 10% compared to the traditional model.
